Kotoko defender Darkwah undergoes successful shoulder surgery

The defender suffered an injury following a collision with a teammate at training and now faces some time in the treatment room

Asante Kotoko defender Daniel Darkwah has undergone a successful surgery after sustaining a shoulder sprain during a training session last month.

The 26-year-old was forced off after a collision which led to a dislocation on his left shoulder.

Although, initial reports suggested he was struggling to raise funds for the operation since Kotoko's top hierarchy had refused to foot the bill, the club's communication director Obed Acheampong has confirmed that everything was in order and the player could spend between six to eight weeks on the sideline.
