ISL: Yumnam Gopi Singh leaves NEROCA to join ATK

Indian Super League (SL) side ATK have strengthened their attacking contingent by roping in Yumnam Gopi Singh from I-League outfit North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association (NEROCA), Goal can confirm. 

The versatile winger made 15 appearances for NEROCA in I-League 2017/18, clocking 774 minutes. He was a livewire on the right wing with his blistering pace and was one of the standout players for NEROCA last season. 

He was one of the trusted lieutenants of head coach Gift Raikhan and the young Manipuri did not disappoint in his first stint in the top flight of Indian football. 

Now with his move confirmed to ISL, it remaines to be seen whether Singh can force his way into the star-studded starting line-up of ATK or spend his time as a benchwarmer in the next edition of the ISL.
