FC Goa has signed midfielder H Lalmuankima on a free transfer from I-League side Aizawl FC, Goal can confirm.

The midfielder has started in all of Aizawl's five games in the ongoing I-League season and despite the club's best efforts to extend his contract ending December 2017, the 26-year-old jumped ship to join the Indian Super League (ISL) outfit.

The signing was finalised soon after Aizawl defeated Gokulam FC 2-0 on December 31.

The former Chanmari FC player had moved to Aizawl last season and after coming back from suspension in the last Mizoram Premier League season, he started in majority of the games where he scored five goals.

It would be interesting to see if Lalmuankima will be available for FC Goa's clash against Jamshedpur FC in Goa on January 11.
