Head coach Stephen Constantine on Friday announced his 30-man probable squad for India’s upcoming international friendly with Jordan.
The Blue Tigers are set to take on Jordan on November 17 at the King Abdullah II International Stadium in Amman in what will be the first-ever international friendly between the two sides.
ATK custodian Arindam Bhattacharya has been handed a recall alongside Bengaluru FC defender Nishu Kumar. FC Goa winger Jackichand Singh’s excellent form in the Indian Super League (ISL) has seen him make his way back into the India squad as well.
The 30 players will undergo a short camp in New Delhi which gets underway on November 11 with the final squad for the friendly set to be announced at a later date.
“We expect to play our game and try to win. When we play against the likes of China and Jordan, you need to understand that we are facing good teams. We will have to build on our previous result. Our main focus will be to stay in shape with and without the ball,” Constantine said on his expectations from the friendly.
