Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes Mohamed Salah ‘is still a threat’ to oppositions despite his drought in front of goal.

The Egypt international who notched 44 goals across all competitions last season has failed to find the back of the net in his last three games – his joint-longest run without a goal since joining the Anfield outfit.

Also, in Tuesday Champions League game against Paris Saint Germain, the forward made an error that helped Kylian Mbappe's equaliser before Roberto Firmino’s stoppage-time winner.

"The defensive side the last two games were outstanding, perfect," Klopp told Sky Sport.

"It is so important in these games especially. That says everything about him that he is really ready to work for the team in these moments.

"It is a completely normal for an offensive player when you have times that you don't score. He is still a threat, made fantastic situations in both our last games. He is in a good shape.

"Finishing is something you can never take for granted."

Salah will be hoping to get on the scoresheet when Liverpool play host to Southampton in Saturday’s Premier League outing.
