Gyasi flattered by Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest

Ghana midfielder Edwin Gyasi has admitted his readiness to sign for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers from CSKA Sofia ahead of January transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been impressive in the Bulgarian top-flight so far.

"I know nothing about the interest [from Wolverhampton Wanderers], but something like that would be nice," Gyasi told Voetbalzone.

"Who does not want to play in the Premier League? I'm just trying to do my best by working hard. I was completely nowhere, but it is now going in the right direction. I work hard and I hope that I can continue to follow the right path.

"I am grateful for everything that comes my way. I never dared to dream of the national team. With my achievement, my hard work has been rewarded, that's how I see it. You must never give up, I'm ready," he added.

Gyasi, who made his debut for Ghana in 2017 against Congo, boasts of five caps and one goal for the team and is expected to be named in Ghana's squad to face Sierra Leone in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
