Gor Mahia have revealed that they are ready to negotiate for the transfer of Francis Kahata to Algeria.

Club Sportif Constantinois (Constantine) have made contact with the player for a possible switch, but Gor Mahia now wants the Algerian side to engage them directly.

“Kahata came to me with a letter from Constantine that is written in French. The club is asking the player to get time and travel for trials but as Gor Mahia, we have asked the player to write to the club and request them to write to us,” Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier said on Monday.

“Kahata still has a contract with us and if they engage him directly then we can be forced to move to Fifa and complain over player tapping. But we are willing to talk with them and see how it will go.”

Jacques Tuyisenge and Philemon Otieno are some of the players who could exit K’Ogalo but Rachier insists that other than Constantine, no any other club has shown interest in the duo.

On Sunday, Goal reported that Algiers are willing to pay Sh8million to sign the player. Gor Mahia are also in the process of losing striker Jacques Tuyisenge to either Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa or TP Mazembe of Congo.

The players’ agent, Jean Karekezi exclusively told Goal.com on Saturday that the transfer could be sealed before the end of next week.

However, Rachier dismissed the transfer involving Tuyisenge saying they have not been approached. “We have not been approached in regards to Tuyisenge. I am only reading this in social media.”

Gor Mahia are set to host Nyasa Big Bullets in a Caf Champions League match on November 28 (Wednesday) at the Kasarani Stadium.
