Only family members of the Super Eagles' players will be allowed into the team's camp in Russia according to the German tactician

In a bid to ensure the Super Eagles remain focused for their 2018 Fifa World Cup expedition, coach Gernot Rohr has ruled out the presence of 'side chicks' from team's base in Russia.

Nigeria will stay in Essentuki as they face Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D of the global football showpiece.

And to avoid distractions which could spell doom for their ambition to get to the knock-out phase, the German has read a riot act to ensure discipline.

“The players’ families are allowed to come after the game to see their husbands even with their children,  the door is open,” Rohr told the media.

“Our first game is on a Saturday night in Kaliningrad and so on Sunday, they are welcome to the camp and so forth like that. The Russian women are not welcome except the captain of the team (John Mikel Obi) who has a Russian wife.

“No door is open for professional people who want to massage or do something related to that. Our discipline which brought us to the World Cup has to continue and even be stronger at the World Cup.

"I don’t want to see any other girls than their families after the games.

"They can even eat with us and spend even the afternoon or even the night after the game with their husbands. I think each player has individual room and this won’t be a problem at all.”

The Eagles will trade tackles with Croatia, Iceland, and Argentina on June 16, 22 and 26 in that order in the first round of hostilities in Russia in the cities of Kaliningrad and Saint Petersburg.
