Former SuperSport United winger Masibusane Zongo released from Police custody

The diminutive wing wizard has reportedly been released from police custody

Former SuperSport United and Platinum Stars winger Masibusane Zongo has been released from police custody according to reports.

The dribbling maestro was in custody after charges of rape which occured  in February 2013 in Cape Town were brought against him. 

Zongo was charged with the rape of a 19-year-old woman in June by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

He remained in custody up until now, and though details of his release is still vague.

At 27, Zongo has quite a few years of playing left in him, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up now that he is out of custody.

He was last on the books of NFD side Royal Eagles before being apprehended by the South African Police Service.

The Eastern Cape-born has had a roller-coster of a career, having beeen turned away by many top flight clubs such as Bidvest Wits, Chippa United in addition to Matsatsantsa and Dikwena.
