After Bafana Bafana were humiliated in the Fifa World Cup qualifiers, it's up to Mamelodi Sundowns to restore our pride

The Brazilians return to action in the Caf Champions League during the following weekend.

Sundowns host Wydad Casablanca, hoping to retain their African title. Masandawana's strong showing in the competition has been South Africa's pride. Whenever Bafana's showing some class on the field, SA commentators are quick to remind viewers that Sundowns are the champions of Africa. Though, it wasn'tlong before things went pear shaped for Bafana against Cape Verde, and we stopped hearing about Sundowns good form.

With Bafana Bafana looking down and out of Russia 2018 after losing twice to Cape Verde, Sundowns can now pick up the pieces. The club made a few social media posts to get the fan base to set aside their international disappointments and focus back on club football.

Elsewhere, Sundowns are also taking pride in their ladies team. National women's soccer has received a timely boost with Sasol extending their sponsorship of ladies league football.
