EXTRA TIME: How South African fans and media reacted to Premier League Derby Sunday

There were three cracking derbies played in England's top flight, and many South African's enjoyed the non-stop excitement

The first highly anticipated game was the West London Derby between Chelsea and Fulham

Chelsea were expected to be stronger than the recently promoted Premier League club. Though, Fulham stayed in the game until a late second goal by Ruben Loftus-Cheek made sure of all three points for the Blues in a 2-0 victory.

Then Arsenal and Tottenham entertained in the North London Derby, where the home side opened the scoring, before Spurs overtook them and went into the lead at the break.

There were two penalty decisions that got fans talking. The Gunners came storming back in style, eventually winning 4-2 on the day. 

The Merseyside Derby didn't provide as many goals, but was also full of interesting action. Both Liverpool and Everton came close on many occasions. 

Keepers Jordan Pickford and Alisson Becker kept the game at 0-0 until deep into injury time. This was when a Virgil van Dijk volley fortunately hit the crossbar twice, before substitute Divock Origi headed in the winner.
