El-Kanemi Warriors' Bosso unhappy with ABS result

El-Kanemi Warriors head coach, Ladan Bosso is unhappy with his side's slim defeat to ABS FC in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League encounter at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

Goals from Kehinde Ayinde and Chukwuebuka Anaekwe handed the Saraki Boys a 2-1 victory over the Maiduguri-based side, with Dele Olorundare grabbing a consolation goal for the visitors in the 39th minute.

And the former Nigeria U20 handler believes they could have avoided the mistake that led to their defeat claiming they had a chance to share the spoils after normal regulation period but for the offside call by the referee later in the game.

"Of course you can't expect me to be happy with this result. We lost to a silly goal conceded. It was an avoidable goal," Bosso told NPFL website.

"We had a chance to score the winner but some factors couldn't allowed it (referring to Olorundare's late offside call).

"The changes I made were okay for me; they changed the game how I want it, and that's why I still believe that we are in the race for a continental this season."

El-Kanemi remains 3rd on the table despite the 2-1 defeat over the weekend with 33 points from 20 games as they host Rivers United in their next home game.
