Duke Udi happy with Sunshine Stars contract extension

Having guided the Owena Whales to NPFL safety, the gaffer is pleased to extend his stay with the Akure based side

Duke Udi has expressed delight over his contract extension with Sunshine Stars ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Udi, who joined the Akure based outfit from Osun United mid-way last season on a one-year deal, rescued Owena Whales from relegation to finish 10th in the Nigerian topflight.

Despite rumours over his possible exit, the gaffer put pen to paper on Monday, signing a new one-year deal, which will keep him in charge until the end of 2017/18 season.
