Gianluigi Donnarumma Milan Serie A

Donnarumma is perfection and above criticism - Raiola

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is perfect and above criticism, and will not leave the club for free, according to his agent Mino Raiola.

The 17-year-old has emerged as one of Italian football's brightest prospects since bursting onto the scene last season, making his senior Italy debut last September.

However, the teenager has endured a rocky start to 2017, with certain sections holding him culpable for key defeats in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

The criticism coincides with the delicate process of renewing his contract that expires in June 2018, with Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United all believed to be circling for his signature.

And his agent has been quick to stand up for his client, with Raiola continuing his tradition of comparing his clients to famous paintings - in Donnarumma's case, an Amedeo Modigliani work.

"Is there anyone who can criticise Donnarumma?" Raiola asked Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We will take action, then if we want to move away we will say so. Gigi is perfection, how can you criticise him?

"He's a humble guy, he gives everything. What is his value? For me, he’s a Modigliani."

Addressing transfer speculation, Raiola insisted the lifelong Milan fan would not leave San Siro on a free, but refused to commit to anything beyond that as Juve reportedly circle.

Asked about Bianconeri interest, Raiola added: "His future? I think it's only right I said that that clubs will be there for a player like this, I told [CEO Adriano] Galliani. Milan will set the price.

"The boy’s contract won’t expire. We just said we want to have the time to make the right choices. Nothing has not happened yet. Is he wanted by Juve? Just ask them."
