The shot-stopper has refuted reports that he has mutually terminated his contract with the People's Elephants and returning to Ghana

Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has rejected suggestions that he has cancelled his contract with Nigerian Professional Football League side Enyimba FC, a season after joining them from Ashanti Gold.

The 32-year-old had a splendid debut campaign and insists he is currently in Nigeria with Enyimba for the pre-season.

Although, Dauda's contract with Enyimba is expected to come to an end in December, his latest reaction has indicated that he may sign an extension as they prepare to partake in the 2018 Caf Confederations Cup.

However, Dauda must double his efforts for the upcoming season if he stays on following the arrival of Nigeria first-choice goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, whose contract with Ifeanyi Ubah ended last month.

Dauda has had stints with South African Premier Soccer League sides Orlando Pirates and Chippa United in the past.
