Ghana midfielder Rahman Chibsah is eyeing an opportunity to return to the outfit for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals following his non-inclusion in the Black Stars' roster for Ethiopia clash in the qualifier of November 18.
The 25-year-old has recovered from a slow start to the Serie A season, helping Frosinone Calcio to go four games without defeat.
He is hoping to make the final squad should Ghana qualify for the tournament holding in Cameroon.
"I didn't get a call up against Ethiopia but my greatest focus now is playing well and achieving positive results with my club in our subsequent games," Chibsah told Class FM.
"As for a call up to the national team, I know that if I keep putting in good performances for my club, I will definitely get a call-up sooner or later. God willing I will make the squad for the Afcon next year.
"For now, my only target is to accomplish the assignment ahead of me in the Serie A and hope for the best in the future ,” he added.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been ruled out of the game due to injury concerns. The remaining 19 players are expected to arrive at the team's camp in Kenya latest Tuesday.
Ghana have three points after two games and sit four points behind leaders Kenya in Group F.
