Biffo charges Abia Warriors to look beyond Nasarawa win

Abia Warriors’ head coach, Abdullahi Biffo has warned his players not to be carried away by last weekend's home win over Nasarawa United.

The Umuahia endured two successive away defeats against Gombe United and Sunshine Stars before their 2-0 victory against the Solid Miners and Biffo who was in the dugout for the encounter has charged his players to think only of their next league tie against El Kanemi Warriors.

“We have won the game with Nasarawa United and we should be looking forward to the weekend tie with El Kanemi Warriors. The defeat we had in our last two away games was bitter pill to swallow and we must not continue to dwell on the home win if we are serious about finishing very well on the league table,” Biffo told Goal.

“The game with Nasarawa United was very tough and we were fortunate to take our chances on Sunday. We can only thank God for the win but our firm concentration is now on the away tie with El Kanemi and are hoping to do well in Maiduguri.”
