Bartholomew Ogbeche scores again to save Willem II from defeat

The 33-year-old continues to impress after getting on the scoresheet once again in Wednesday’s Dutch top-flight encounter

Bartholomew Ogbeche netted in Willem II’s 2-2 stalemate with Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivisie outing at the GelreDome.

The Nigeria international registered his eighth goal in seven league appearances to help Erwin van de Looi’s men share the spoils with their hosts.

The forward got the curtain raiser in the 13th minute after being fed by Fernando Lewis but ten minutes later, Slovenia international, Tim Matavz levelled proceedings as they both went into the break with a goal apiece.

In the 58th minute, Ben Rienstra restored the lead to the Tricolores after an assist from Fran Sol but with two minutes left to play, Bryan Linssen netted to secure a point for Henk Fraser’s side.

Willem II are in 14th spot after gathering 16 points from 16 games, two places above the relegation zone.

They will look to build on the outcome of this outing in their next game when they welcome PEC Zwolle to Koning Willem II Stadion on Saturday.
