Balotelli posts cryptic message regarding his future after inspiring Nice's run to Champions League

Mario Balotelli is giving little away when it comes to his future, as he prepares to become a free agent.

He left Anfield with his reputation in tatters, having failed to replicate his previous success in the Premier League at Manchester City.

Balotelli has, however, starred in Ligue 1 this season, with his 15-goal haul in the French top-flight helping Nice to a third-place finish and qualification for the Champions League.

No extension to his contract has been agreed, though, and it remains to be seen where the 26-year-old will be playing his football in 2017-18.

Balotelli has suggested that he would be happy to stay at Nice, as they prepare to enter Europe’s premier club competition.

Has Balotelli hinted at next club?

The Ligue 1 club do, however, have prior experience when it comes to star turns slipping the net after rebuilding their reputation.

Hatem Ben Arfa did similar in 2016, as he headed for Paris Saint-Germain, and Balotelli will have options to consider after proving once again that he can be a talismanic presence at his best.
