Azam have claimed that they will sign more players ahead of next season following the imminent arrival of striker Donald Ngoma from Yanga.
The club announced an agreement with Ngoma on Saturday which marks the beginning of what is to be a busy transfer window for the club.
Speaking in a press conference, Azam’s spokesman Jaffar Idd said that, Ngoma is the first player but not last, there are others who will come during the transfer window.
“We need to build our team ahead of next season, the arrival of Ngoma will be followed by other players in the coming transfer window,” said Idd.
Azam are set to finish in second place but are set to miss out on CAF tournaments for two seasons in a row.
It has been reported that Ngoma’s transfer to Azam was the suggestion of the in-coming boss Hans van Pluijm who worked with the player at Yanga.
