Kenyan international Ayub Timbe scored seven goals in his maiden season in the Chinese Super League with Beijing Renhe.
The Kenyan international, who joined Beijing Renhe mid second leg, also had four assists in 14 games for the side, who gained promotion to the Chinese top-tier league last season. The attacking forward guided Beijing Renhe to an eighth-place finish with 38 points.
Timbe was named in the Harambee Stars squad that was scheduled to play Sierra Leone in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers before the match was called off by Caf.
Michal Olunga’s former club Guizhou Zhicheng finished bottom of the log with a paltry 24 points from 30 games. Shanghai East Asia were crowned the Chinese champions ahead Guangzhou Evergrande FC and Shandong Luneng, who came second and third respectively.
