Aston Villa boss challenges 'terrific' Adomah

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce believes in-form attacker Albert Adomah could tally 20 goals by the end of the season after the winger reached the half mark on Saturday.

The Ghana international once again emerged hero for the Claret and Blue Army as his double powered the side to a 2-0 triumph over Ipswich Town on matchday 19 of the English Championship.

His 10 goals have impressively come from 12 starts, presently making him arguably the most dangerous man in the division, having made his first three appearances of the campaign off the bench.

"He’s had a wonderful run," Bruce said, as reported by his club's official website.

"At the start because of the form of Andre Green, he wasn’t in the team.

"He’s worked hard and got his reward. Playing on the left, he looks so comfortable.

"He’s a threat and he’s got a great return. Long may it continue.

"There’s no reason why he can’t set his sights on another 10.

"He’s done terrifically well."

Villa, who sit fourth on the table with 26 more rounds of matches to go, have now made it three wins in a row ahead of Friday's visit to Leeds United.

Adomah, formerly of lower tier sides Harrow Borough, Barnet and Bristol City, joined Villa from Middlesbrough in summer last year.

He made 38 appearances involving 30 starts and three goals as the Claret and Blue Army finished 13th last campaign.
