The deadly Were took his league tally for the season to seven goals with a 74th minute strike against Mufurila Wanderers

Harambee Stars striker Jesse Were continued with his fine form after he scored for Zesco United in a 2-1 win on Wednesday.

The former Tusker striker, who was voted the best player for the month of June last week, took his league tally for the season to seven goals with a 74th minute strike against ailing Mufurila Wanderers.

Dave Daka had scored the opener for the Team ya Ziko before Jesse Were made it 2-0 in the match played at Shinde. The victory at Shinde was sweet revenge for the 1-0 defeat Zesco United sustained at the same venue in their last visit on November 20.
