Experienced Simba keeper reckons the scrutiny he's under at Msimbazi is unique

Aishi Manula has admitted the pressure of playing for Simba Sports Club is more intense than at any other club in the league.

Manula who grew up at Azam believes that Simba is a club with many fans and there is huge pressure but there also the motivation is bigger in comparison to Azam which is still a growing team.

"I'm at a huge club and there are big demands on you," said Manula. "As a goalkeeper I'm well aware that any mistake can be magnified by the press and the fans.

"The difference is that we have a lot of fans, there is a lot of pressure from the people who love this team so it's worth more than the one I came from," The keeper told Goal .

Manula is the only Premier League goalkeeper who allowed few goals in the league (conceded six goals) in 17 games that he stood between the sticks for Simba this season. He said his brilliancy as a shot stopper has never been enough to make him safe in the goal but the whole team.

Aishi Manula, speaking to Goal, praised the Simba squad's fighting spirit and said he was proud to be part of a squad that never gives up and never knows when it is beaten.

"Good team spirit is what makes me the best, even if you dive well and hold the ball nicely like a monkey you will not be able to take care of such a big goal that's bigger than me, so we have to play together as a team to prevent goals, so far we have been a team that has allowed few goals. When you look at our games often when the ball stops we talk to the whole team where there are weakenesses and where we can strengthen to get more goals. So it's great to be a part of it myself."

The Goalkeeper is expected to stand in the goal for Simba against Djibouti side Gendarmerie in Caf Confederation Cup which will be played at the National Stadium in Dar es salaam on Sunday.
