AFC Champions League: Omar Abdulrahman lauds Khalid Eisa's display in Al Ain's win over Zob Ahan

Al Ain guaranteed themselves a place in the Round of 16 of the 2017 AFC Champions League on Monday with a 3-0 win over Zob Ahan and star man Omar Abdulrahman has credited goalkeeper Khaled Eisa for the result.

The shot-stopper was in inspired form as he kept the hosts at bay, making 10 saves. The victory ensures Zoran Mamic’s team cannot finish outside the top two in Group C.

"All the players contributed to the win especially goalkeeper Khaled Eisa who delivered a great performance but that is not strange for someone of his calibre," Abdulrahman said after the encounter.

"I hope he continues his good form for our remaining fixtures," he added.

After Danilo Asprilla gave Al Ain the lead in the 25th minute, a fine solo effort from Abdulrahman doubled their advantage in the second half before Mohammed Abdulrahman added a third nine minutes from time.

Abdulrahman chose to address the importance of the rather than his own display despite regretting dropping points at home.

"The most important thig is to qualify for the next round. We are not happy with the points we lost on our ground, although we didn't lose any games in the competition so far."

The AFC Player of the Year insists that Al Ain will learn from their experience in the group stages so far and better themselves as the tournament progresses.

"We will learn from our mistakes and emerged stronger from these fixtures with focus. We will maintain our defence in order to achieve the best results at home and away."
