Shanghai SIPG have made a convincing start to their 2018 AFC Champions League campaign with two wins on the trot and now lead their group.
The latest win, a 4-1 romp over A-League side Melbourne Victory, was also a statement of intent after a narrow win in the opening game. The mastermind behind the performance was former Chelsea midfielder Oscar.
The Brazilian midfielder was an inspiration as he grabbed a brace in addition to creating several chances and should easily have scored a hat-trick on the night.
Oscar netted a pair of spectacular strikes, one of which was a spectacular curled effort. He also created an impressive six chances for his teammates, won four duels and tallied a passing accuracy of 82 per cent.
He was simply sensational on the night for Shanghai SIPG and is aptly named this week's Toyota Asian Player of the Week!
