Barcelona stars visit the White House

Ivan Rakitic, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Alen Halilovic have taken time out of preseason training to go sightseeing in Washington DC.
Barcelona may be busy gearing up for the new season but three of the team's stars have used their trip to the USA to pay a visit to president Barack Obama at the White House.

The Catalans were in action in California on Saturday but have swiftly gone from west coast to east in preparation for Tuesday's match against Chelsea in Maryland.

Ivan Rakitic, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Alen Halilovic have taken time out from training to go sight seeing in the nearby capital city, visiting the home of every U.S. president since John Adams in 1800.

The fact that Obama is, in fact, in Kenya did not seem to put them off...

Rakitic, who scored in Barcelona's 3-1 Champions League final win over Juventus in June, has clearly been enjoying his time in America, having attended a San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball game with Adriano and Thomas Vermaelen earlier this week.
