Former Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez has been confirmed as the new boss of Greek side AEK Athens.
The 46-year-old form Nervionenses defender spent two and a half years in charge at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan before being sacked last March after a poor run of results which included elimination from the UEFA Champions League and he has been out of football since.
Jimenez has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him take charge at the Olympic stadium in Athens for the current campaign and next season. AEK had been under the temporary guidance of Bledar Kola since Dusan Bajevic resigned late last month.
