Midfielder Adrian Gonzalez has joined Racing Santander on a free transfer from Getafe, according to the Racinguistas official website.
The 22-year-old left sided midfielder linked up with the Cantabrian outfit for his first training session with the club on Thursday evening and will officially be unveiled as a Racing player on Friday at 1200 CET.
Gonzalez, a youth product of Real Madrid, joined los Azulones in 2008 but has failed to hold down a regular place in the team. His switch to El Sardinero brings to an end his second spell playing under the stewardship of his father Michel, who coached him at Real Madrid Castilla and at Getafe.
