Barcelona youngster Jonathan Dos Santos signed a new contact today, extending his stay at the club until 2012.
“I appreciate the confidence they have shown in me for all these years,” the 20-year-old Mexican told the Blaugrana's official website. “Now I'm here, after lot of work, where I enjoy being the most.”
Following the crushing news that he had been left out of Mexico's World Cup squad this week, Dos Santos is said to be considering his international future elsewhere and went on to say he was ready to put the disappointment behind him and concentrate on life with Barca.
“The selection is already in the past, now I must try to concentrate,” he said. “To keep winning is very important and I must continue to improve.”
