Bojan has in recent years represented Spain at virtually all youth levels, taking part in a number of summer competitions for the young Furia Roja sides during the summers.
While he's yet to play in a U-21 tournament, he did represent the U-17s at the World Cup in South Korea last year, picking up much acclaim before returning to compete for the U-21s in between his duties for FC Barcelona.
However, the 17-year-old will not yet be making the step up to the senior side after announcing that he is too tired to do so.
Bojan was set to be a part of Luis Aragonés' 23-man squad heading to Austria and Switzerland for Euro 2008, but instead he has requested a summer of rest.
He said, "Over the past two years I've played in both the U-17 World Cup and the European U-17s. It is a huge source of pride to be called up and my commitment cannot be questioned. I always accept when I can, but right now I'm simply exhausted."
He added to Canal Barça that there is no injury or mental worry about his withdrawl.
"There's no problem," he insisted. "I just need a break. I'm exhausted."
