Didier Drogba’s brother Joel followed in his older sibling's footsteps when he decided to join Youth Club Le Mans UC72, along with many illustrious Ivorians before him.
But unfortunately, he never succeeded to earn a spot for himself in the first team and became a footballing globe-trotter, playing in Switzerland, Belgium, France, England and most recently for the Ukrainian side of Metalurg Donetsk.
Joel Drogba will have one week to convince Bielefeld coach Michael Frontzeck to sign him on, so that he can add Germany to his CV.
This will be Drogba’s second try-out in Germany after having gone to FC St Pauli three seasons ago.
