Pirlo injured in Udinese clash

The veteran Juventus playmaker suffered a clash of knees with Udinese's Andrea Lazzari in the sixth minute and was later replaced by Paul Pogba.
Andrea Pirlo was withdrawn by Juventus coach Antonio Conte after just 15 minutes of a Serie A clash with Udinese on Sunday.

The 34-year-old Italian midfielder suffered the injury as a result of a clash of knees with the Zebrette's Andrea Lazzari in the sixth minute.

Pirlo, who has only missed one Serie A game all season, received treatment for the knock and attempted to carry on but only lasted another nine minutes before signaling to the bench that he wanted to come off.

Pirlo hobbled off and was replaced by young France star Paul Pogba.
