Emanuelson: International break will help struggling AC Milan

With the Rossoneri's winless run now at six matches, the Dutchman believes his side will benefit from a rest from domestic duties before crucial clashes with Genoa and Celtic
AC Milan must use the international break to recuperate following its disastrous run of form, according to Urby Emanuelson.

The Italian giant is now six games without a win in all competitions and find themselves 10th in Serie A after a dismal 0-0 draw with Chievo.

Emanuelson acknowledges that things are not going quite to plan for the Rossoneri this season and admits the timing of the international break could be vital for the team.

"Fortunately there is a break, we have more time to work," he told Milan Channel. "Unfortunately we are not going well, our position is not suitable for this club."

Milan is currently 15 points adrift of the Champions League places in Serie A and the Dutchman is desperate for a win over Celtic in order to prolong the club's run in this season's tournament.

"If we win, we stay with Celtic in second place, which would be important for us. Hopefully we can get a good result, but we know it won't be easy," he added.
