Federico Pastorello, the agent of Villarreal attacker Giuseppe Rossi, has voiced his opinion that the 24-year-old could be the heir to Alessandro Del Piero's throne at Serie A side Juventus.
Pastorello feels the two players have similar characteristics and Rossi would love to play alongside the Juventus icon before eventually taking his role in Turin.
"We are talking about a player who reminds me a bit of Del Piero with his technical abilities and his position on the pitch. It's obvious that he is fascinated by the idea of playing with Del Piero, and Rossi could eventually be his successor," Pastorello was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
Pastorello highlighted that Rossi would be interested in a move to Juventus, but added that there hasn't been a concrete offer yet.
"Juventus are still a top club. Of course, they're going through a difficult time and won't be playing European football, but there's still plenty of attraction. Juventus are like a beautiful girl who needs to visit her hairdresser. She still remains a beautiful woman.
"We can only wait and see what will happen. I have to say that there has not been an official approach yet from Juventus. Maybe something concrete will happen in the upcoming weeks."
Despite Rossi's interest in a move to Turin, a transfer seems unlikely at the moment as Juventus has set its sights on Atletico Madrid attacker Sergio Aguero and will travel to Madrid on Tuesday to discuss a potential deal.
