Former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti's escape from the Giallorossi has led him to jail, but for all the right reasons.
According to La Repubblica, the Italian will take part in a specially organised match that will see members of parliament take on convicted criminals on a prison football pitch in Massa.
The event will take place on September 26. Spalletti will coach a team consisting of prisoners, police officers and local politicians, and they will play an Italian parliamentary team.
Prison director Salvatore Lodice has confirmed the event, and he hopes it will raise awareness regarding what goes on behind locked doors.
"The objective is to give a better view of prison life and the problems inside, so that the public can understand and not close their eyes as to what goes on," said Lodice.
