Tonight Milan suffered their umpteenth recent defeat in a friendly, as they went down 2-1 to FK Tirana in the charity match "Taci Oil Albania Reads Trophy", sponsored by Unicef.
The first half saw a solid Milan side create a number of good chances, with Ronaldinho having an inspired evening, and providing Filippo Inzaghi with a few golden opportunities that went begging.
In the 28th minute, Dinho hit a magnificent lob from outside the area that went agonizingly close to opening the score for Milan, but it crashed against the crossbar.
Just a minute after that, however, the home side did find the opening goal, Xhafa beating Christian Abbiati with a great volley on a headed assist by Mukalj.
Just before half time, Milan were handed a blow as Inzaghi suffered an injury to his thigh after being beaten to the ball by the keeper. The striker was then replaced by Andriy Shevchenko.
The second half saw the return from injury of star defender Alessandro Nesta. Milan continued to try hard to make themselves dangerous, but it was Tirana who struck once more with a fantastic shot by Musaka which went in just under the crossbar.
After this goal, Milan came close on a few occasions through Shevchenko, who once saw a shot go just past the post, and once the goalkeeper came up with a fine save with his foot.
In injury time, it was Ronaldinho who found the net for the Rossoneri with a close range finish on an assist by Sheva.
