West Brom's Mulumbu reveals Arsenal approach

The 26-year-old midfielder said the Premier League leaders have inquired about his services ahead of the January transfer window.
West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has revealed he is a January transfer target for Arsenal.

The Congo international, whose side lost 2-1 against Newcastle over the weekend, has impressed since moving to the Hawthorns from Paris Saint-Germain in 2009. After four years at the club, the 26-year-old says he is ready to test himself at a higher level and would be open to joining the Gunners this winter.

“I've had approaches from Arsenal,” Mulumbu is quoted as saying in The Sun. “I could leave this winter. This is the right time for me to set my sights higher. I'm ready to join a top-four club.

Mulumbu has scored 14 league goals in 156 appearances for West Brom.
