Tottenham's Vedran Corluka Confirms He Will Be Out For At Least Four Weeks With Ankle Injury

Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka is expected to see a specialist to determine the extent of his injury.

The Croatian was subject to a rash two-footed tackle by Milan's Mathieu Flamini during the Champions League clash between the two sides on Tuesday. The challenge saw the player being unable to continue any further, and he was stretchered off.

"As we expected when my leg cooled down, everything about my ankle looked worse than just after the game," Corluka told Sportske Novosti.

"My ankle is swollen. It hurts so much, but the doctors are saying that things are not as bad as it seems.

"Luckily nothing is broken, but I will still be out for at least four weeks.

"I will know for sure how bad it is today [Thursday]. When I first saw my ankle, I was sure it would be at least two months, but luckily it is not so bad."
