Official: Sampdoria clinches Pasquale Foggia signing from Lazio

The 28-year-old former Italy international joins the Serie B side on loan after a five-year association with the Rome side.
Lazio's 28-year-old winger Pasquale Foggia has joined Serie B side Sampdoria on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent, the club's offical website has confirmed.

Foggia joined the Rome side in 2006, but has failed to cement his place in the side, having been sent out on loan to Reggina and Cagliari, making just 69 league appearances for Lazio in his five years in the capital.

The diminutive Italy international has now elected to leave Serie A to join Sampdoria, which clinched the loan signing of Andrea Poli from Internazionale this week, as the club looks to bounce straight back up to the top flight.

The former AC Milan man was part of the Lazio side that won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2009.
