Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero addresses rumors about him joining Major League Soccer

The 36-year-old admitted that he loves the United States and MLS but he isn't sure if he will join the league.
NEW YORK -- After years of being linked with a move to Major League Soccer, Alessandro Del Piero finally addressed the possibility of playing in America.

“I follow MLS. I love the United States,” said Del Piero. "Every summer I'm here for vacation. Now my head is concentrated for Juventus. "Now I'm thinking about the start of this season - that is very important for us and I want to do well. At the end of this season, we will see . . ."

Del Piero has been linked with a move to the Los Angeles Galaxy as a possible replacement for either David Beckham or Juan Pablo Angel at the end of the season.

The Juventus legend, who has played over 500 games for the club, admits that he is impressed with soccer’s growth in the U.S. Despite turning 37 this year, Del Piero could be a valuable addition to a team as he has transitioned well from his role as a striker to more of a playmaker for The Old Lady.

Last season, Del Piero had eight goals and two assists playing in that role and his pass percentage was impressive at over 80 percent.

Still, entering the 20th year of his storied career that seen him win almost every accolade, Del Piero admits that he might not be playing much longer.

“I don't know. I'm so young,” joked Del Piero responding to whether or not the move would be likely in the future. “I can’t think for the future”
