Mexico names full list for USA friendly

Giovani dos Santos was dropped from the 18-man squad after picking up an injury with the Olympic team that will keep him out of action for two weeks.
Mexico has released its full list for the August 15 friendly versus the United States at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

Monterrey leads the charge with a total of four players called up, including striker Aldo de Nigris. Rival Monterrey club Tigres also sends four players, with newcomer Manuel Viniegra as the biggest surprise.

Foreign players had been announced a week earlier, with the only change being Giovani dos Santos' omission due to an injury that will keep him out two weeks.

Manager Jose Manuel de la Torre has decided to give players currently on the Olympic squad a rest, not calling up a single player from the team that has clinched a medal and made the final.

DEFENDERS (6): Francisco Rodriguez (Stuttgart), Hector Moreno (Espanyol), Severo Meza (Monterrey), Hugo Ayala (Tigres), Jorge Torres Nilo (Tigres), Enrique Perez (Morelia)

MIDFIELDERS (7): Jesus Zavala (Monterrey), Manuel Viniegra (Tigres), Edgar Lugo (Santos), Adrian Aldrete (América), Pablo Barrera (Cruz Azul), Elias Hernandez (Tigres), Andres Guardado (Valencia)

FORWARDS (3): Angel Reyna (Monterrey), Aldo de Nigris (Monterrey), Javier Hernandez (Manchester United)
