Bayern Munich defender Diego Contento resumes individual training

The full back has spent the past few weeks on the sidelines due to a broken toe, but the Bavarian giants are on the verge of being able to consider him for first team action
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has received some encouraging news from the treatment table, as left-back Diego Contento has returned to the training ground again after a spell on the sidelines due to injury.

The 21-year-old sustained a broken toe earlier this year, and had been out of action for the past four weeks as a result.

Nevertheless, Contento is now on his way back to fitness again, and the Bundesliga powerhouses have revealed on their official website that the full-back has resumed individual training action.

The Bavarians have not yet set a date for Contento's return to squad involvement, but the Munich-born man is expected to make his comeback in the upcoming two weeks.

Contento is a product of the Bayern youth academy, and made his official first team debut back in February 2010.
