Jordi Alba: Barcelona wants Champions League glory again

The Spanish wing back - who joined Camp Nou in the summer - is dreaming of European success this season and is eagerly anticipating Tuesday's match against Benfica in Lisbon
Jordi Alba has stressed that Barcelona has set its sights on Champions League glory at Wembley once more this term.

The Catalan club beat Manchester United 3-1 in the final in London two seasons ago but was eliminated in the semifinals of the competition last term, as eventual winners Chelsea proved to be too strong and blocked its way to the Munich-based final.

"It's our objective to make it to the Champions League final at Wembley and win the competition again," Jordi Alba told La 1.

The Spain international also briefly discussed Tuesday's Group G encounter away against Benfica and warned that the Portuguese side are a force to be reckoned with.

"We are talking about a great club here with some excellent players," he stated. "They could certainly cause us a few problems."
