Jonas' 10.5 second strike for Valencia vs. Leverkusen is No.2 on the list of fastest-ever Champions League goals

The Brazilian's effort against the Germans almost broke the record for the fastest ever Champions League goal
Valencia forward Jonas narrowly missed out on scoring the fastest goal in Champions League history when he struck after just 10.50 seconds during Valencia's Group E clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.

Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno's catastrophic clearance was straight at Jonas, who cooly slotted the ball into the bottom corner left-footed.

The Brazilian's effort is second in the all-time fastest Champions League goals rankings, just 0.48 seconds slower than Roy Makaay's goal for Bayern Munich against Real Madrid in 2007.

The table below lists the 10 quickest-ever goals in Europe’s premier club competition.
