Timothy Chandler may be switching clubs in the Bundesliga.
Reports out of Germany suggest the U.S. international could move from Nurnberg to Stuttgart next summer. He would replace right back Khalid Boulahrouz, whose high-priced contract will expire after the season.
Chandler's contract with Nurnberg ends in 2013, and this would be the last opportunity for Nurnberg to cash in on the 21-year-old. However, Nurnberg wouldn't let him go easily.
Also rumored to join Stuttgart is Chandler's U.S. teammate Juan Agudelo. The New York Red Bulls striker trained with the club during the MLS offseason and could make a permanent move to Germany in the near future.
But one hold up could be the potential signing of Srdjan Lakic. If the Croatian striker lands a deal with Stuttgart, the chances of the club wanting and being able to afford Agudelo would be very slim.
Nurnberg currently sits in 16th place, while Stuttgart is eighth
