Official: Robbie Findley Joins Nottingham Forest Pending Work Permit

US International Robbe Findley signed a two and a half year contract with Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest have announced the capture of USA international Robbie Findley, the club announced on their official site. Findley was a part of Bob Bradley's World Cup side, but struggled in to find his form for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer last season after returning from South Africa.

However, Forest boss Billy Davies was full of praise for Findley.

"We had a lot of competition in the race to sign Robbie and there's no doubt that we had to work very, very hard to try and convince him this was the right place to come," he said. "We've managed to do that and we're very, very pleased.

"It's a great challenge for him and a great challenge for us as well but there's no doubt that he can score goals and, more importantly, with the pace he's got he can be a real handful."

Findley has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the club subject to gaining a work permit.

The Championship side are 11 points back of league leaders QPR and currently sit eighth in the table after finishing third and losing out in the promotion playoffs last season.
