Ronaldinho turns up for training in Queretaro

After missing the start of preseason, the Brazilian legend has returned to Queretaro in time to avoid further issues with the club.

Almost three weeks after Queretaro’s preseason got underway, Ronaldinho returned to Mexico on Friday.

The 34-year-old Brazilian superstar had been the subject of speculation about his future, despite signing a two-year deal with Gallos Blancos in September.

Queretaro sporting president Joaquin Beltran stated earlier this week that Ronaldinho’s future at the club was in doubt if he didn’t arrive in the city by Friday.

Ronaldinho is expected to undergo his preseason medical examinations on Saturday and then join up with the squad, which started training in early December.

The former Barcelona forward last played on Nov. 23 and struggled for fitness in his first season in Mexico. The upcoming Clausura 2015 begins for Queretaro on Jan. 11 away at Pumas.
