Vela continues hot streak with two goals against Lyon

After turning down the Mexico national team again last week, Vela's rich vein of club form is showing no signs of slowing down.
Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela continued his red-hot start to the 2013-14 season, scoring a pair of goals against Lyon to ensure his side's progression into the Champions League group phase.

With his club carrying a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, Vela scored a crucial third in the 67th minute, heading home directly from a corner to give his club a nearly unassailable 3-0 aggregate lead.

The erstwhile Mexico national team striker wasn't done though, as in stoppage time, he cut apart the Lyon defense before running into the box and chipping a fantastic finish to seal a 2-0 win on the night and 4-0 aggregate triumph.

Vela has been on fire to begin the season, as he now has four goals and two assists in four games with Sociedad, two of which were in the Champions League.
