Mexicans Abroad: Guardado's Injured

Andres Guardado suffered an injury in a league match on the weekend.
Earlier this year, Andres Guardado was lost with an injury. While it appeared he would miss six weeks or more, Guardado returned much sooner than expected and did not miss any playing time with El Tricolor.

It seems like deja vu has struck Guardado. The speedy winger was injured and fears have arisen over his possible status for the World Cup. A first-choice winger, Guardado's loss would be a tough blow to Mexico but everything with his injury and potential recovery time will be revealed soon enough.

SPAIN

Rafael Marquez (Barcelona)
- Marquez was part of the starting XI and played all 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over Deportivo. The defender was called up, but was left on the bench for the 0-0 draw against  Espanyol. Next: @ Inter Milan 4/20 Champions League; Xerez 4/24 La Liga.  

Andres Guardado (Deportivo La Coruña
)- Guardado played all 90 minutes in the 3-0 loss against Barcelona. The midfielder then left the field in the 14th minute due to an injury in the 0-0 draw against Almeria. The gravity of the injury won’t be known until tests on Tuesday. Next: @ Valencia 4/24 La Liga.  
 
Jonathan Dos Santos (Barca Atletic)
- Dos Santos opened the scoring in the 15th minute in the 2-0 win over Lleida; he played all 90 minutes. Next: @ Terrassa 4/25

Juan Seguro (Real Union Club de Irun)
- Did not get any playing time in the 2-1 loss to Las Palmas. Next: Murcia 4/24

GERMANY

Ricardo Osorio (Stuttgart)
- Osorio wasn’t called up for the 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Next: @ VfL Bochum 4/23 Bundesliga.  

ENGLAND

Carlos Vela (Arsenal)
- Vela wasn’t called up to play in the 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. He was then on the bench for the 3-2 loss against Wigan. Next: Manchester City 4/24 Premier League.  

Guillermo Franco (West Ham)-
Game against Liverpool to be played on Monday 4/19.Next: Wigan Athletic 4/24 Premier League.  

NETHERLANDS

Carlos Salcido (PSV)
- The defender played 67 minutes and received a yellow card in the 45th minute in the 2-2 draw against Heerenveen. Salcido played all 90 minutes in the 3-1 win over FC Groningen.  Next: @ AZ Alkmaar 5/2 Eredivisie.  

Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (PSV)
- Rodriguez was substituted into the game in the 67th minute in the 2-2 draw against Heerenveen. ‘Maza’ was left on the bench in the 3-1 win over FC Groningen. Next: @ AZ Alkmaar 5/2  Eredivisie.  

Hector Moreno (AZ Alkmaar)
- Moreno played all 90 minutes and received a yellow card in the 1-0 win over Twente Enschede midweek. The defender then played all 90 minutes and opened the scoring in the 12th minute in the 3-0 win over Willem Tilburg. Next: PSV 5/2 Eredivisie.

Giovani Dos Santos (Galatasaray)
- Dos Santos played all 90 minutes and received a yellow card in the 82nd minute in the 2-1 win over Maisaspor. Next: Bursaspor 4/25 Turkish SuperLig

Juan ‘Kichi’ Perez (FC Tatabanya)

Nery Castillo (Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk)

Luis Angel Landin (Houston)
- Was suspended for Houston's 3-0 win against Chivas USA. Next: @ Chicago Fire 4/24

Mariano Trujillo (Chivas USA)
- Played 90 minutes in the 3-0 loss at Houston. Next: San Jose 4/24

Martin Vasquez (Chivas USA)
- After picking up first-ever managerial victory, Chivas USA lost 3-0 at Houston. Next: San Jose 4/24

Carlos De Los Cobos (Chicago)
